Spring Wedding at Orleans House, Twickenham

Maria Sharpe

This spring wedding at Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham featured romantic, seasonal wedding flowers in a fresh green and cream palette, designed to complement the intimacy and elegance of the venue.

The bridal bouquet reflected a soft spring palette, combining fresh greens with gentle cream tones. Loose, natural in style, it felt light and seasonal, with movement and texture that echoed the setting and time of year.

For the reception, an intimate table set-up was styled with abundant foliage and delicate spring flowers, creating a sense of generosity without formality. Olive green, colour-matched candles were layered through the tablescape, adding warmth and depth while keeping the overall look calm and cohesive.

The result was a relaxed and elegant spring celebration — simple, thoughtful and full of natural beauty, perfectly suited to the character of Orleans House.

Victoria & Luke - Autumn Wedding Florals Hampton Court House

Maria Sharpe

Victoria and Luke’s autumn wedding at Hampton Court House, Surrey, was a firm favourite. I love everything about styling an autumn wedding and the floral variety, texture and tones readily available throughout this season. And everything about Victoria and Luke’s day was golden.

Victoria and Luke were relaxed and ready to have fun with the floral styling. Hampton Court House overlooks Bushy Park and is awash with dried bracken at this time of year, which we foraged and used in abundance for the statement archway and floral chandelier centred above the dance floor. Bringing the outside in continued as a theme, with conkers and pears playing a part in our tablescaping, placed amongst glass jars and bud vases filled with various types of dahlia, finished with ester & eric taper candles in warm amber.

Embracing the beauty of autumn through floral design allows you to create an unforgettable atmosphere for your wedding day. By incorporating the rich colors, textures, and natural elements that define this season, you can infuse your celebration with warmth, romance, and a touch of magic. Victoria and Luke’s certainly captured it all.

Ijeoma & Liam - Modern Wedding Florals The Mitre

Maria Sharpe

Ijeoma and Liam were married in August at The Mitre Hampton Court. The floral brief centred on a bold pink and red palette, with a modern, confident feel. Designs were intentionally flower-heavy, focusing on colour, form and impact rather than embellishment.

Ijeoma and her bridesmaids carried a simple bouquet of reflexed roses in pink tones — sculptural and pared back. For the reception, tables were styled with low, abundant arrangements in Gaia ceramic vessels, paired with colour-matched candles that added warmth and depth as the light softened through the space.

The result was a vibrant, contemporary wedding that felt elegant without being formal — a beautiful reflection of the couple’s style and the character of The Mitre.

Rebecca & Harry - Summer Wedding Florals The Mitre

Rebecca & Harry — A Summer Riverside Wedding at The Mitre

Rebecca and Harry’s summer wedding was a beautifully chic riverside celebration at The Mitre, Hampton. Their day began with a ceremony at a local church, where I created statement floral arrangements and delicate babys’ breath pew ends, adding a soft, romantic touch.

After the ceremony, guests greeted the couple on the decking as they arrived by boat — a playful and unforgettable riverside moment. The church florals were then repurposed at The Mitre, seamlessly transitioning from ceremony to reception.

Rebecca’s brief was for delicate summer florals in a soft, airy palette. Tables were styled informally with a collection of delicate glass bud vases, creating a light and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the riverside setting.

A day full of movement, charm, and understated luxury — a summer wedding that felt effortlessly beautiful and intimately personal.

Madeline & Stefan - Spring Wedding Hampton Court Palace

Madeline & Stefan — A Late Spring Wedding at Hampton Court Palace

Madeline and Stefan’s late spring wedding at Hampton Court Palace was a beautifully intimate celebration set within one of London’s most iconic historic venues. Their day began with a ceremony in the Little Banqueting House, followed by an elegant reception in the Garden Rooms.

To complement the grandeur of the Banqueting House, I designed floral arrangements that framed the ceremony space with softness and scale, enhancing the architecture without overwhelming it. These statement florals created a romantic focal point for the ceremony and were later repurposed for the evening reception, allowing the design to flow seamlessly from day to night.

Madeline chose a timeless yet fresh palette of romantic blues and soft creams, which guided the floral selection throughout. Plentiful delphiniums and hydrangea provided height and impact, while garden roses added softness, texture and a classic romantic feel — perfectly suited to a late spring celebration.

The result was an elegant, considered floral story that balanced historic grandeur with intimacy, creating a truly memorable setting for Madeline and Stefan’s wedding at Hampton Court Palace

My Table Floral Design was the florist for our October wedding and we wanted a whimsical, romantic and cosy vibe and Maria went above and beyond to create the most beautiful, colourful arrangements! Caitlin and Hervé’s autumn wedding at The Mitre, Hampton Court was a beautifully romantic celebration, bringing together American and French family and friends who had travelled from afar to be part of their day.

They envisioned rich, autumnal tones paired with soft, romantic floral styling. To frame the ceremony, I designed statement floral columns alongside grounded arrangements, creating depth, warmth and a sense of occasion as Caitlin and Hervé exchanged vows. The florals were full of seasonal colour and texture, enhancing the intimate riverside setting.

Following the ceremony, the designs were thoughtfully repurposed for the dinner, flowing seamlessly into the evening. Autumn Wedding Glamour: Rich Florals and Elegant Touches at Wild by Tart, London

Autumn weddings have a magic all their own. The crisp air, the changing leaves, and the warm, golden light create a naturally romantic atmosphere that pairs perfectly with luxurious, rich florals. Last Autumn, I had the privilege of working with a wonderful couple who envisioned an autumn wedding filled with warmth and style, and it was a joy to bring their vision to life. From the church entrance to the stylish reception at Wild by Tart in London, every detail was a stunning reflection of the season’s beauty.

The Perfect Autumn Day

The couple’s vision for a luxurious yet warm atmosphere was brought to life with the perfect crisp autumn day and florals that showcased the richness of the season. With the ceremony at St Luke’s, Fulham followed by a bus ride to Wild by Tart, Belgravia.

The Florals: Seasonal Dahlia, Roses, and Hydrangea

When it comes to creating wedding florals for the autumn season, it’s all about embracing the rich, vibrant hues that nature offers. For this wedding, I used a stunning combination of seasonal dahlias, roses, and hydrangeas with an abundance of foliage.

The church entrance featured a dramatic floral column, with a cascade of deep burgundy dahlias, blush pink roses, and soft mauve hydrangeas, complemented by warm autumnal foliage in shades of gold, burnt orange, and deep greens. It set the tone for the entire day—bold, romantic, and utterly striking.

As the flowers moved to Wild by Tart for the reception, they continued to shine, adding an element of luxe glamour to the venue. The rich tones —along with touches of greenery and delicate autumn foliage—created a seamless transition from the church to the reception, bringing the beauty of the season indoors.

Reception: Long Dinner Tables, Candles, and Glass Bud Vases

One of my absolute favourite aspects of this wedding was the reception setup at Wild by Tart. The venue itself exudes understated luxury with its minimalist design, which allowed the florals to truly take centre stage. We arranged long dinner tables, each adorned with a scattering of colour matched candles, creating a warm, intimate glow throughout the space.

What made the tables truly special were the rows of beautiful glass bud vases, each holding a selection of carefully chosen stems. These delicate, understated arrangements allowed the flowers to shine, while the collective effect brought a sense of balance and harmony to the room. The soft, flickering candlelight highlighted the rich tones of the flowers, creating an enchanting atmosphere for the guests.

Floral Column: From Church to Reception

The floral column that greeted guests at the church entrance was too beautiful to be left behind. After the ceremony, we carefully moved it to the reception at Wild by Tart, where it became a striking focal point in the venue. Positioned near the entrance, it created a stunning first impression for guests as they arrived.

It was an elegant reminder of the season’s beauty, a piece of floral art that transitioned seamlessly from ceremony to celebration.

Autumn Wedding Glamour at Its Best

There’s something undeniably glamorous about an autumn wedding. The warm colours, the opulent florals, and the intimate atmosphere create a sense of luxury that feels both timeless and modern. This particular wedding was the perfect embodiment of that glamour, with florals that celebrated the beauty of the season while adding an elegant touch to every detail.

If you’re planning an autumn wedding in London or Surrey and want to create an unforgettable, glamorous floral design, I’d love to help make your dream wedding come true. A Dreamy Summer Wedding: Soft Blush Pink Florals at Orleans House and The Mitre Hotel

As a wedding florist based in Hampton Court, Surrey, I’m lucky enough to work with couples who choose the most breathtaking venues for their special day. This particular summer wedding was a true blend of elegance, simplicity, and understated beauty, set against the stunning backdrop of Orleans House in Twickenham for the ceremony, followed by a stylish reception at The Mitre Hotel in Hampton Court.

The Venue: Orleans House Twickenham & The Mitre Hotel Hampton Court

Orleans House, with its beautiful historic architecture and lush, tranquil grounds, provided the perfect romantic setting for the couple’s ceremony. With the soft, natural light that streams through the venue’s grand windows making the delicate blush pink and greenery florals really pop.

Following the ceremony, guests were taken by boat to The Mitre Hotel in Hampton Court, a venue well known for its sophisticated charm and riverside location. Here, the reception unfolded in The Orangery, an intimate and stylish space, complete with long dinner tables that were set with flickering candles and rows of delicate glass bud vases.

Florals: Simple, Stylish, and Elegant

The bride and groom had a clear vision for their florals—soft, romantic tones of blush pinks and lush greenery, with a touch of timeless elegance. As a wedding florist, it’s always a joy to bring a couple’s vision to life with flowers that create an atmosphere of warmth, beauty, and love.

For the ceremony, the florals were kept simple but impactful. We created large floral urn designs on raised plinths, a popular choice for Orleans House ceremonies. On the steps outside we created meadow style arrangements with soft blush pink roses, pale peonies, and delicate greenery creating a fresh, organic feel without overwhelming the space - and the perfect spot for photography. The overall effect was soft, romantic, and perfectly in tune with the venue’s classic beauty.

Reception: Long Dinner Tables Full of Candles

The reception at The Mitre Hotel was nothing short of magical. Long dinner tables, draped in crisp white linens, were lined with an abundance of candles, casting a warm and inviting glow over the space. The florals were designed to be equally soft and understated, with blush pinks, muted peach tones, and varying shades of green—nothing too bold, but just enough to create a calm and beautiful environment.

Low table arrangements allowed guests to chat comfortably across the table, while the soft candlelight created an intimate, romantic atmosphere.

Why Simple, Elegant Florals Work for Every Wedding

As a florist, I love how simple yet stylish florals can transform a space without taking over the entire aesthetic. The combination of soft blush pinks and greens brings a timeless elegance to any venue, whether it’s an intimate outdoor ceremony or a grand hotel reception.

Working with long dinner tables and candles allows the florals to shine in a subtle way. The candles’ warm glow enhances the beauty of the flowers without competing with them, allowing each element to complement the others perfectly. It’s a design philosophy that keeps things elegant without being too fussy, creating a balanced and harmonious atmosphere that enhances the couple’s celebration.
